MALCOLM WILSON was born in New York City on February 26, 1914. He received an A.B. degree from Fordham College and an LL.B. degree from Fordham Law School. During World War II, Wilson served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He served in the state's assembly from 1939 to 1958, and as lieutenant governor from 1959 to 1973. During his tenure, he chaired the National Conference of Lieutenant Governors. In December 1973 he became governor to complete the term of Governor Nelson Rockefeller who had resigned to become Vice President of the United States. Governor Wilson passed away on March 13, 2000.
