Fred Brettschneider

Fred Joseph Brettschneider serves as the President at LibreMax Capital, LLC. Mr. Brettschneider co-founded the firm in 2010. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director, Head of Global Markets in the Americas since February 2008, Head of the Institutional Client Group for the Americas, and Director of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. Mr. Brettschneider was the Chief of Capital Markets of North and South America, Head of Global Markets in the Americas since February 2008, and Head of the Institutional Client Group at Deutsche Bank AG. He was responsible for managing the debt and equity businesses in the Americas and supervising a staff of over 2,000 people. From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Brettschneider was the Head of Institutional Client Coverage for all products in the Americas. He had joined the firm in 2000, as the Head of ABS Trading and Syndicate. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brettschneider was the Global Head of ABS Trading and the Co-Head of MBS Trading at Credit Suisse. He was a Member of Board of Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Mr. Brettschneider is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. He earned a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1993, an M.B.A. from York University in 1989, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1986.
