Mr. Ronald Hulme is the Chief Execuitve Officer at Carlson Capital, L.P. He will focus on the firm's strategy, internal process, and talent management. Prior to this, Mr. Hulme was a Director and Senior Partner with McKinsey & Co. During his 26-year career at McKinsey, Mr. Hulme played an active and formative role in the Firm's management and governance. He led or co-led several of McKinsey's practice groups including the Global Strategy Practice, the Global Corporate Finance Practice, the Global Risk Practice, the Americas Oil and Gas Practice, and the Americas Chemical Practice. He served as a member of the Shareholders Council (McKinsey's Board of Directors) and as the Chairman of one of its four policy committees. He also served as a member of McKinsey's Office of the Managing Director, where he had oversight responsibility for the Firm's global knowledge efforts and six functional practices (Strategy, Organization, Operations, Marketing, Corporate Finance, and Information Technology), and as Chairman of the Firm Strategy Initiative, a 60 partner task force chartered in the late 1990s to redefine McKinsey's own global strategy. He is an active board member of several non-profit organizations including Texas Children's Hospital, University of Texas McCombs School of Business, Alley Theatre and the Institute for Sustainable Peace. Mr. Hulme earned a BBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated first in his class, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
