Wang Jianlin

Chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, one of China's largest owners of commercial properties. In a flurry of openings in the month of December alone, Wanda opened five "Wanda Plazas" in different cities, plus two hotels on picturesque Hainan Island. Wanda also owns one of the country's largest movie theater operations. Wang is active socially through the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and as a vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Pledged $150 million to reconstruct a Buddhist temple in Nanjing last November. Disagreed with our estimate of his wealth.
