Harry McMahon is Executive Vice Chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He serves on the Global Corporate & Investment Banking Leadership Committee and is focused on providing innovative strategic solutions, financial advice and superior execution for a broad array of the firm’s corporate clients worldwide. McMahon joined Merrill Lynch in 1983 and has held various leadership positions in Global Markets and Investment Banking, including co-head of the Global Corporate Finance group from 1996 to 2003 and Vice Chairman of the firm from 2003 to 2008. Following the merger with Bank of America in 2009, McMahon became the firm’s first Executive Vice Chairman. His broad base of deal experience includes leading teams on more than 400 projects involving either Merger and Acquisitions advisory work or Corporate Finance. From 1975 to 1983, McMahon worked for the Northern Trust Bank of Chicago in various roles involving commercial lending and corporate finance. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1980, and a BA from Claremont McKenna College in 1975. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Claremont McKenna College; as a Trustee of St. John’s Hospital; on the Board of Advisors of the Henry R. Kravis Leadership Institute and on the Selection Committee of the Kravis Prize in Social Leadership. He and his wife, Jacquie, have four children.
