Frederick R Ruiz

Frederick R. Ruiz has been a director of McClatchy since July 1993. He serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Ruiz Foods, Inc., a privately held frozen food company, and was president and chief executive officer of that company from 1990 to 1998. Mr. Ruiz currently serves on the boards of directors of Gottschalks, Inc. and the California Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Business Advisory Council of California State University, Fresno and a member of the UC Board of Regents.
