In his new assignment, Massa, will be responsible for developing and implementing a global sourcing strategy that optimizes material purchases and leverages the company's size, scale, and global presence. He also will be working with the company's operating units to develop and implement a global logistics and distribution strategy to optimize inventory levels, reduce cycle time, and improve on-time delivery. His duties will include leading corporate programs aimed at customer relationships. Massa has been president of Water Systems since 1999. He also has held the positions of senior vice president overseeing the former Smith Fiberglass and Engineered Storage Products units; and president of the company's former Automotive Products unit. He has held a number of increasingly responsible operations and executive management positions since joining the company in 1976. Massa is a former officer of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and a member of the Manufacturers Alliance. He is a graduate of San Jose University, San Jose, Calif., and earned an MBA from Seattle University, Seattle, Wash.
