Brian began work as the ADOA Director on November 1, 2012. Prior to his appointment, he worked with Public Policy Partners after finishing up a role as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations to Governor Janice K. Brewer in October of 2011. In that role, he interacted with all aspects of state government operations. He also handled, or was a key player on, a variety of policy issues for the Governor including law enforcement, corrections, military affairs, border security, pension reform and personnel reform. Prior to joining Governor’s Brewer’s senior team, Brian served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Corporation Commission from 1999 to 2009. He has also served as the Deputy Director of the Arizona Department of Health Services, Policy Advisor for Health/Human Services to Governor Symington, various roles in the Arizona State Senate including Research Analyst, Policy Advisor to the Majority and Director of Operations/Economic Advisor; and as a Fiscal Analyst for Arizona’s Joint Legislative Budget Committee. Brian also worked in the early 90’s as a Principal Forecast Planner for Saudi Arabian Parsons, Ltd. in Madinat Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah, KSA.
