Gary M Rubman

Gary Rubman is a partner in our Washington, DC office with broad experience in intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Rubman has litigated in federal district courts across the country and has represented clients in matters involving a broad array of different technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics and software. Mr. Rubman’s clients have included, among others, Warner-Chilcott, Procter & Gamble, Fujitsu, Johnson & Johnson, Samsung, Ethicon, DePuy Mitek, Abbott, eBay, PayPal, Talecris Biotherapeutics, Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and the Republican National Committee. Mr. Rubman was a law clerk for Judge Samuel Alito, Jr., then serving on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and now an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. Previously, Mr. Rubman was on the legislative staff of Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), now Speaker of the House in the United States House of Representatives. REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS Representing DePuy Mitek, Inc. and Ethicon, Inc. in patent litigation concerning wet field electrosurgical devices used for arthroscopic procedures. Representing Fujitsu Ltd. in a patent infringement litigation concerning wireless network technology. Representing Samsung Electronics in patent litigation concerning DLP televisions. Representing Procter & Gamble in an ANDA case against a generic drug company concerning Procter & Gamble’s ASACOL® product for treatment of ulcerative colitis. Representing Talecris Biotherapeutics in patent litigation concerning blood plasma pooling and screening technology. Representing Ortho-McNeil, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, in Hatch Waxman litigation against a generic drug company relating to a patent covering Ortho’s LEVAQUIN® antibacterial product. Represented Abbott Laboratories in patent litigation against ImClone Systems, Inc. relating to ImClone’s ERBITUX® cancer treatment product. More Representative Matters PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Rep.
