Jacob Sittig

Jacob Sittig is a communications and public relations professional with a background in government and non-profit advocacy. As Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Jacob built and managed relationships with local and national press, helped guide messaging, and executed short and long-term media outreach plans for a range of domestic issues. An experienced writer, he was integral to the development of communication materials including press releases, stakeholder newsletters, op-eds, and speeches. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Jacob was a leadership conference facilitator with the National FFA Organization, one of the nation’s largest youth organizations, where he planned and presented three sets of innovative curriculum to high school students in Washington, D.C., and 14 different sites across the U.S. Jacob also worked as a Campus Campaign Coordinator for Teach for America, where he developed and implemented high-visibility campus outreach and marketing strategies. Originally from Louisiana, Jacob moved to Washington, D.C., after earning a degree in Political Communication from Louisiana State University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
