He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Townsend Wake Forest High School, receiving his B.S. degree from Ashland College in Ashland, Ohio. Bill married Judith Moos on Feb. 7, 1962, in Elyria, Ohio. They were later divorced. He married Colleen (Finley) Postier on July 1, 1989. His professional career included journalism (The Beacon Journal in Akron and the Chronicle-Telegram in Elyria, Ohio); political consultant/campaign manager in national and statewide political campaigns, including several presidential, U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, governor, state legislature and mayoral elections, including political field director for the Republican Governors Association. Professionally, Bill scouted for several NBA teams and coached in the CBA and ABA where he won over 500 games. He coached internationally at Saskatoon (National Championship); Winnipeg, Canada, and Palmeiras, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Collegiately coached at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Minnesota, Ohio State University and Ashland University. Bill is survived by Colleen Klucas; his children, David L. (Denise) Klucas, Jeffrey A. (Dara Howell) and Suzanne (Bert) Eggelmeyer; stepdaughter, Megan (Jayson) Shelstad-Dahl; and five grandchildren, Bethany, Elizabeth, Jacob, London and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Spencer "Doc" Klucas.
