A Houston native, Harrison was an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications, and served on the university's College of Communications Dean's Advisory Board for six years. Harrison joined ONEOK in 2005 as vice president of investor relations and public affairs, having served previously as vice president of global communications at Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions. Multiple Fortune 100 companies benefited from Harrison's expertise, as he held senior management positions in corporate and financial communications, government relations and human resources, for companies Phillips Petroleum Co.; its natural gas subsidiary, GPM Gas Corp.; and Whirlpool Corp. At ONEOK, he led its human resources, corporate services, investor relations, communications, government relations and community investments functions, including the ONEOK Foundation. He also served as president of the ONEOK Employee Political Action Committee. He was a member of the board of trustees of the Tulsa Community Foundation; a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce; chair of VisitTulsa, the chamber's convention and tourism initiative; past director and a member of the executive committee of the National Association of Publicly Traded Partnerships; and past president of the Tulsa Press Club. He was a founding board member of Leadership Oklahoma, served on the board of Tulsa Opera and was a member of the Oklahoma Commission on State Government Performance. Harrison is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and daughter, Annie.
