Karin Hudson joined Mehlman Vogel Castagnetti in August of 2004. As a former Senate staffer with nine years’ experience in public policy, Karin has valuable knowledge of the workings of Congress, the Administration and the media. Karin’s excellent communications skills, top-notch organizational experience and ability to liaison with both Members of Congress and industry leaders make her an asset to clients as they seek to advance their public policy priorities. As Deputy Director, Karin also serves on the Executive Committee of the United States Information Technology Office, a Beijing-based trade association representing the interests of U.S. high-tech companies in China. During Karin’s Infotech Strategies tenure she also directed major initiatives for two leading higher education organizations, the Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) and the National Association of State Universities & Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC). To help Senator Dodd win his re-election bid in 1998, Karin staffed his Connecticut campaign. As a Field Coordinator, she served as a link between the Senator and Democrats in the 4th Congressional District, helping to determine financial and staffing needs. Karin’sWashington career began at the Women’s Campaign Fund, a bipartisan political action committee supporting female candidates in favor of a woman’s right to choose.
