Jeffrey Wertkin’s practice encompasses litigation, public policy, and administrative and regulatory matters. Mr. Wertkin draws on his knowledge of administrative law to assist clients in the areas of environmental compliance, energy regulation, and health care regulation. Since coming to Patton Boggs, Mr. Wertkin has also gained experience in complex litigation matters through his involvement in the September 11 litigation cases in New York District Court, Enron proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and litigation in the D.C. Circuit regarding the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository. Before joining Patton Boggs, Mr. Wertkin gained a wide-ranging knowledge of public policy, bureaucratic politics, and administrative law while working at the Department of Justice, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the United States Embassy in London.
