John M Brewer

Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology B.A., Ph.D. (1963) Johns Hopkins University John M. Brewer was born in 1938, grew up in a number of towns across western North America and went to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, obtaining a BA in 1960 and a PhD in 1963 in biochemistry. He spent 1963-1966 at the University of Illinois as a postdoctoral fellow. He became Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Georgia in 1966 and eventually Professor in 1983. He and his wife have two children. He has over 100 academic professional publications. His hobby is reading history books.
