Edward P Lazarus

Edward P. Lazarus, a co-leader of the firmwide litigation practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, has been named chief of staff of the Federal Communications Commission, the firm announced today. A graduate of Yale University and its law school, Mr. Lazarus served as a law clerk to Akin Gump’s William A. Norris on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and thereafter to Associate Justice Harry A. Blackmun on the U.S. Supreme Court before becoming a federal prosecutor. He joined Akin Gump’s Los Angeles office in 2000 to focus on appellate litigation
