Mo Siegel is an entrepreneur best known for co-founding Celestial Seasonings, Inc., the largest manufacturer and marketer of herbal teas in the United States. After its founding in 1970, Celestial Seasoning continued to grow and revolutionize the tea industry. Herb teas had previously been perceived as only of medicinal significance, but Celestial Seasonings introduced herb teas as flavorful, healthy beverages, virtually creating the modern tea industry. From 1987 to 1991, Siegel also founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Earth Wise, Inc., a marketer of environmentally friendly cleaning products and recycled trash bags. He also sits on the Board of Directors for Whole Foods Market, a supermarket chain committed to the environment. With a passion for non-profit work, Siegel has been involved with many organizations and is the Founder of Jesusonian Foundation, a non-profit religious organization. Mr. Siegel served as Vice Chairman of the Merged Company, The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. He has been a Director of CNS INC. since April 18, 2003 and Corporate Express Inc. since June 1996. He has been an Independent Director of Whole Foods Market Inc., since September 11, 2003. Mr. Siegel serves as a Director of Annie's HomeGrown Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of Solera Capital LLC, CNS Pharmaceutical Company, Wild Oats Markets, Inc. and several privately held companies and foundations. He also serves as Director of CEX Holdings, Inc. and Annie's HomeGrown Foods, Inc. He served as a Director of Celestial Seasonings Inc. since 1988. Mr. Siegel served on several boards including The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., Martek Biosciences Boulder Corporation (formerly known as OmegaTech, Inc.), Boulder Community Hospital and the Non-Profit Jesusonian Foundation. . Morris J. Siegel has served as a director of the Company since September 2003. Mr. Siegel is currently self-employed, operating Capitol Peaks, an investment firm. Mr. Siegel was the co-founder of Celestial Seasonings, Inc., serving as Chairman and CEO from 1970 until 2002. Celestial Seasonings merged with The Hain Food Group forming The Hain Celestial Group of which Mr. Siegel served as Vice Chairman from 2000 until retiring in 2002. Mr. Siegel also serves on the board of Camelback, Inc.
