John W Weaver

Equity-based ownership (excluding stock options): Mr. Weaver is the Executive Chairman of AbitibiBowater Inc. Mr. Weaver served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. from 1999 to October 2007. Mr. Weaver held a number of senior executive positions in operations and sales prior to being appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in the forest products industry. Mr. Weaver is a member of the Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. board of directors, the chair of both the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and FPInnovations and a director of the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities.
