Daniel N. Mezzalingua is a Vice Chairman and a Trustee at Syracuse University. Mr. Mezzalingua is the former President of Production Products Company, a Syracuse, New York-based manufacturer of coaxial cable connectors for the cable industry. Since becoming President in 1981, Mezzalingua directed company growth from 30 employees and nonexistent sales to currently more than 1,000 employees with offices and distribution centers in California, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, South America, India and Canada. Prior to that, he formed Octagon-Scientific, Inc. He has worked with companies such as Magnavox, Octagon-Scientific Inc., and Philips N.V. (Holland). After graduating from Syracuse University, he worked as a marketing analyst in New York City for Underwood-Olivetti Company International. Mezzalingua's civic and professional commitments include membership on the Advisory Council of Marine Midland Bank, the United Way's CNY Resource Development Committee, and the boards of the Community General Hospital Foundation and the Manufacturing Association of Central New York. He has also served as president of the board of trustees of Manlius Pebble Hill School, head of the Parent Association of St. Lawrence University, trustee of St. Bonaventure University and parent representative to the board of Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He currently serves as a member of the National Cable Television Association, New York State Cable Television Association, Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, the Parish Council of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church and the Metropolitan Development Association.
