Maureen T. Scaduto is the Executive Director of the Cultural Institutions Retirement System (CIRS). CIRS is a multi-employer system covering more than 19,000 active and former employees of 47 cultural institutions and over 230 daycare centers in the New York City area. CIRS consists of three ERISA plans: pension plan ($1.1 billion), 401(k) savings plan ($475 million), and a group life plan. Notable Member Institutions include the American Museum of Natural History and The Wildlife Conservation Society. The plans are subject to collective bargaining but also have a sizable non-represented population. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of CIRS’ operation. Prior to joining CIRS Maureen was employed by the Diocese of Rockville Centre for many years serving in a variety of executive roles including Treasurer and Director of Information Technology. At the Diocese her primary responsibility was overseeing the investments of the Pension Plan and the Diocesan operating funds. In addition, Maureen’s responsibilities included the management of the Information Technology Office for the Diocesan administrative offices and satellite locations. Prior to joining the Diocese of Rockville Centre, Maureen worked for E.F.Hutton & Co., as a registered commodities broker and S.D. Cohn & Co. as an account executive. Maureen serves on the Advisory Board for The Sisters of Charity and the Foundation for Cleary School for the Deaf. Maureen received her Bachelors degree from Albany State University and her Masters in Business Administration from Adelphi University. She obtained her NASD series 3, 7, and 63-registered representative.
