David R Hughes

David R. Hughes served as the Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. from November 16, 2010 until December 2013 and its Principal Accounting Officer and Secretary. Mr. Hughes joined Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. in November 2010. Mr. Hughes joined Shore Memorial Hospital d/b/a Shore Medical Center as Chief Financial Officer in January 2014 He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President of MTR Gaming Group, Inc., from May 2008 to November 2010. Mr. Hughes served as the Chief Operating Officer of Mountaineer, a subsidiary of MTR Gaming Group, Inc. from January 2003 to January 2007. He served as an Executive Vice President of strategic Operations of MTR Gaming Group, Inc., from January 2007 to May 2008. From 2003 to 2008, he served in various positions at MTR, including as Corporate Executive Vice President of Strategic Operations and Chief Operating Officer of its flagship property in West Virginia. Mr. Hughes has 27 years of operational and financial experience with executive experience in the gaming and hospitality industry. He also held operational and financial positions with major gaming companies throughout the United States, including Atlantic City, New Jersey, having served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Sun International Resorts Hotel and Casino and in positions at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino from 1988 to 1995. Mr. Hughes began his career in gaming in table game operations in 1984 at the Sands Hotel and Casino. From August 2001 to December 2002, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Penn National Gaming's Charles Town Races & Slots property in Charles Town, WV. From September 2000 to July 2001, Mr. Hughes served as the Chief Executive Officer of JAB Sun Cruz Casinos' U.S. Operations, where he was responsible for all operational aspects of the 10 property company and helped increase gaming revenues and reduce administrative costs. He has been a Director of American Media, Inc., since January 28, 2013. Mr. Hughes serves as Director of Shore Quality Partners and Rivers Casino. He also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce and the board of directors of St. Joseph Regional School in Somers Point, New Jersey. He has been a Director of iPayment Holdings, Inc. since February 2015. Mr. Hughes served as a Director of iPayment Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Stockton State College.
