Patrick Wyrick is a Justice of the Supreme Court of Oklahoma. Prior to his appointment in 2017, he served for six years as the Solicitor General of the State of Oklahoma. He also served as a law clerk to Judge James H. Payne of the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. As the chief appellate lawyer for the State of Oklahoma, he supervised all appellate litigation on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General. As Solicitor General, Justice Wyrick served as a top legal advisor to the executive branch and advised agency lawyers and State officials on complex constitutional and other legal matters. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Justice Wyrick practiced general commercial litigation in the Oklahoma City office of GableGotwals. Upon graduation from law school, Justice Wyrick served as a law clerk to Judge James H. Payne of the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. Justice Wyrick graduated from the University of Oklahoma and from the University of Oklahoma School of Law with distinction.
