Democratic Party candidate for the US House of Representatives in the Texas 24th Congressional District

Candace Valenzuela was an at-large member of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District in Texas. She assumed office in 2017. She left office on December 5, 2019. Valenzuela (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 24th Congressional District. She lost in the general election on November 3, 2020. Valenzuela resigned from the Carrollton-Farmers Branch board in December 2019 to focus on her congressional campaign. Valenzuela graduated from Claremont McKenna College. As of her 2020 campaign, her professional experience included working with special-needs students and being a youth mentor and tutor
