Anthony Carbonetti, also known as Tony Carbonetti, is a senior adviser at the financial services firm Perella Weinberg Partners. Carbonetti served as chief of staff for former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) and was senior adviser for Giuliani’s 2008 presidential bid. Anthony Carbonetti entered the political sphere when he worked as deputy director of field operations for Rudy Giuliani’s mayoral campaign in 1993. In 1994, Carbonetti became director of the office of appointments for Giuliani’s administration. He was appointed as deputy chief of staff in 1996, and then worked as chief of staff from 1999 to 2001. Carbonetti co-founded a strategic consulting firm, called Giuliani Partners LLC, with Giuliani and other members of the administration in 2002. He served as managing director and founding partner for the organization. In 2008, Carbonetti became senior adviser and chief strategist for Giuliani’s presidential campaign and also served as an advisor for Republican New York State Senate candidate Tim Brown. Carbonetti left Giuliani Partners to become a senior adviser for Home Depot co-founder and billionaire Ken Langone in 2010. Four years later, he was a coordinating producer for "My Italian Secret: The Forgotten Heroes," a film that "tells the story of sports idol Gino Bartali and other courageous Italians who carried out ingenious schemes to rescue Jews, partisans and refugees from Nazi-occupied Italy." As of Carbonetti is a senior adviser at Perella Weinberg Partners and serves as vice president for the board of directors of Italy and the Holocaust Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to "share the little known story of the role of Italy and many individual Italians in saving approximately 80% of the Jews in Italy during the Holocaust." He was mentioned as part of the "Influencers 500" list produced by Campaigns & Elections Magazine in 2013 (according to Campaigns & Elections, the list "is a collection of some of the top names in the consulting business state by state").
